Rebuilding the Wick Bar & Co. website
Wick Bar & Co. is a BYOB candle-making studio at 414 Penn Ave in West Reading, PA. We rebuilt its website as a custom build with SEO, and it went live at wickbarandco.com in October 2026.
The business
Guests curate their own Signature Scent and pour their own 10 oz. candle. Beyond the candle-making experience, the studio runs Second Fridays, workshops and seasonal events, private parties, kids’ birthday parties, team building, weddings, and custom and bulk orders.
That is a lot of different reasons to visit, and most of them are booked ahead of time. The website has to answer “what can we do here” and “when can we come” in the same visit.
What we changed
One site instead of several
The old setup split the website across separate pages and a separate booking link. The rebuild brings them together on the studio’s own domain.
Booking from the live schedule
Class times come straight from the studio’s existing booking calendar and open on the site, so when a time changes there, the site is already up to date.
The studio’s own photos
The site uses the studio’s own photography — the fragrance wall, pours in progress, finished candles — instead of social media graphics.
Details Google can read
Studio hours, the Penn Ave address and the Google rating sit on the page and in its structured data, so search engines and map apps read the same details visitors do.
Pages for group events
Weddings, bachelorette parties and team building each have their own page, because those are searched for by name.
After launch
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are set up for the new domain, and we manage the studio’s Google Business Profile and Bing Places listing, so the site and the listings say the same thing.
When the owner asked for her studio hours on the site, we added them to the page and its structured data, taken from her Google profile.
